Depression Archive

This page contains an archive of posts that I have written connected with depression and related topics (such as anxiety, fatigue, energy, heartache, etc.). I’m slowly combing back through the archives to post some of those pages here, so if you have a favorite that you think I have left out, please let me know.

Also, there are a whole host of topics that I want to write about related to depression and energy work, and using tools such as meditation, reiki, essential oils, hypnosis, and crystals as tools in everyday coping with depression. If there is a topic you’d like me to push to the top of the list, please let me know that as well.

Nature, and the colors green and blue, can be healing during depression.

The color green is especially healing for the heart chakra. During a period of heartache, one strategy for feeling better, believe it or not, is to find images of green forests on the Internet, and load them into a screensaver — especially if you are stuck inside chained to a computer all day. If you can get out into a real forest, so much the better. To find this photo and a host of other beautiful green images, go to

  1. I love that image! This is all such great advice. I tend to be in better spirits when I’m near water, I’m SO high energy, it soothes me. I’m also a water sign so that may have something to do with it. Anyway, thanks for your blog, it is a wonderful place for me to visit.
